Professional Career :

Started learning at the tender age of 4 Started performing on television at 8

Accompaniment  at 13 Debut solo performance at 16 Performed all around the globe

Achievements :

Organized young musicians' festival in Varanasi in 1984-85 & 86 'ABHINAV'

Conceived and created a 26-episode T.V.serial 'Swar-Sadhana' - telecast on Doordarshan in 2000. Swar-Sadhana was made for creating an awareness of Indian classical music among the mass public. The highlight was the interesting story format along with the participation of celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Javed Akhtar, Zakir Hussain, Birju Maharaj, Jagjit Singh, Naushad, Amol Palekar, Pankaj Udhas, Yukta Mookhey, Kanak Rele, Suresh Wadkar, N.Rajam, Sadhana Sargam, Shankar Mahadevan, Annu Kapoor & Veena Sahasrabuddhe.
